It has been getting so warm lately, and hot coffee just does not always sound good. So I am getting creative with ways to enjoy the coffees I love in a cold drink! One of my FAVORITE smells is freshly brewed coffee. And when you make this coffee, you will know it is the unmistakableFolgers® Coffee. There are so many ways you can prepare Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend, whether iced, cold brew, French press, and more! And with so many flavors you can add, the coffee will still shine through.
I love that this Coffeehouse Blend is medium-dark, because I love my dark coffees! I really started drinking coffee when I was studying in Italy, so I blame my love of the dark brews on having strong cappuccinos every day. This coffee has a distinct taste, starting smooth and finishing bold. This also means that the coffee holds up well with the milk, chocolate, and cherries.
This recipe is for one 8 ounce brew of the Folgers Coffeehouse Blend so you can make single serves easily using their wonderful K-cups! They are easy to find at your local Kroger in the coffee aisle. You could also make this with their ground coffee, perfect for making a big batch!
To make theFrozen Black Forest Mocha Coffee, first brew your coffee! I use the 8 ounce setting. Then place the coffee, ice, milk, chocolate syrup, and pitted cherries in a blender. Turn it on and let it do its thing!
Once blended, pour into a glass. You can give it a fancier presentation with some chocolate syrup around the inside of the glass. Top it off with some whipped cream, chocolate chips, and cherries. That is IT! If it is still thin, you can add more ice and blend again.
If it is one of THOSE days and you need an extra pick-me-up, you can either use a larger or double brew of the coffee. Just cut back a little on the milk to make it more concentrated. ThisFrozen Black Forest Mocha Coffee is also amazing as an iced coffee! Just pour all of the ingredients over the ice in a glass and stir to combine. Even faster!
These Frozen Black Forest Coffees are perfect for warmer months, whether on-the-go, at work, or relaxing at home. Have you ever made a blended coffee at home? What are your favorite flavors?

Ingredients
- 8 oz Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup fresh cherries halved and pitted, see note
- 3 Tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
Brew your coffee for an 8 ounce portion. Set aside to cool or chill in the refrigerator. If the coffee is still hot, it will melt the ice and lose the frozen effect.
In a blender, combine the coffee, milk, cherries, chocolate, and ice. Blend until the ice is crushed. Taste and add additional ingredients as desired or more ice for a thicker drink.
Pour into a glass garnished with chocolate syrup. Top with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and additional cherries if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
This coffee will be thinner than a milkshake. If your coffee is not frozen enough for your liking, add more ice.
You can make the coffee thicker by freezing the coffee into cubes in advance and by using frozen cherries. You can also skip the ice if you use frozen coffee, which will make the coffee taste stronger.
I used approximately 15 fresh cherries in this recipe. Frozen would work great as well.

I love cold drinks in the warm weather as well. In New England, it seems we will have to wait a bit longer for those sunny days. 🙂 I love this delicious looking beverage!
